POCOMOKE CITY--Mrs. Ada P. Ardis, 82, of Remson, near Pocomoke City, died early today in Peninsula General Hospital after a short illness. Her husband is Marion L. Ardis. Mrs. Ardis was a member of the Remson United Methodist Church.
She was born in this area and was a daughter of the late William and Nora Payne.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Leonara Granbery, Central, S.C.; three sons, Wilson M. and Ralph V. Ardis, both of here, and Alton L. Ardis, Salisbury; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She also leaves three brothers, Milton Payne, Pocomoke City, George W. Payne, Snow Hill, and Walton Payne, Havertown, Pa., and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Evans, Yeadon, Pa., Mrs. Clarence Taylor, New Church, Va., and Mrs. Clyde Redden, Pocomoke City.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Watson Funeral Home here. The Harold Grattan, pastor of the Stockton-Girdletree United Methodist Charge, will officiate. Interment will be in the Remson Church Cemetery.
