POCOMOKE CITY--Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Watson Funeral Home here for Marion L. Ardis, 87, retired farmer of near Pocomoke City. He died Wednesday in the Salisbury Nursing Home after a long illness.
The Rev. William Ball will officiate. Interment will be in the Remson United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Pocomoke.
Mr. Ardis was born in this area, and was a son of the late Sanders and Sarah Landing Ardis. He was a member of the Remson Church and had just recently retired as treasurer, a position he held for more than 50 years. He was also a member of the Worcester County Farm Bureau.
His wife, Mrs. Ada Payne Ardis, died in 1970. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. H. Lenora Granberg, Central, S. C.; three sons, Wilson M. and Ralph V. Ardis, Pocomoke City, and Alton L. Ardis, Salisbury; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister, Miss Cynthia Ardis, Pocomoke City.
