Mr. Barefoot was a carpenter for the N.C. Department of Transportation before retiring.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday 9/18/1999 in Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Jimmy Barnhill. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Barefoot is survived by his wife, Pauline Guy Barefoot; four sons, Charles G. Barefoot and David R. Barefoot, both of Erwin, Anthony P. Barefoot of Savannah, Ga., and Curtis O. Barefoot of Dunn; a daughter, Becky B. Massengill of Dunn; his mother, Irene B. Barefoot of Coats; three brothers, Evitte Barefoot of Dunn, Casper Barefoot of Four Oaks and Jimmy Barefoot of Hampton, Va.; two sisters, Dorcus Brooks of Dunn and Doris Strickland of Coats; and 10 grandchildren.
