She was born May 23, 1928 in Watseka, IL the daughter of James H. Longshore and Mabel Dulin Longshore. She was raised in Brazil and graduated from Brazil High School. She later attended three years of college at DePauw University.
She began working at the family business, Continental Car-na-var in the office and bookkeeping and later served as Vice President of the company, as a young girl she also worked at Hillman Jewelers in Terre Haute and worked in Advertising. In 1976, following the sale of Car-na-var, Mary began working as the office manager at Mark E. French and Son, Cadillac, Pontiac & Buick car dealership. She worked there until 1988 and retirement time came. She enjoyed spending winters at their family home in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Mary was a past member of Tri-Kappa, B &PW, American Legion Auxiliary Post #2, and the Fish & Game Conservation Club in southern Clay County. She also was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Mary was known for her straight talk, not being afraid to share her opinion, and for her generosity to those close to her.
Survivors include one nephew, Jim ... one niece, Mary Moore of Aiken, SC ... two great-nephews, Dulin and Brooks ... and one cousin, Jimmy Sr; and, a select group of friends here in Brazil, including Judy Berry and neighbors, Emery and Diane Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann, who passed away 28 years prior. Her mother, Mabel, passed away in 1988 ... and her dad, James H passed away in 1962.
She lived in Brazil, IN and St. Petersburg, FL, and had homes in both locations. Her last residence in Brazil, IN was at this location.

Graveside services will be held Sunday at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville, IN. at 3:00pm.
