Harvey Darter came to Southeast Missouri (from the Russellville-Atkins Arkansas area)with his Family of nine children. Initially he farmed as a share-cropper 2 miles west of Campbell on Highway 62. Later he purchased a farm in the Glennonville community about 10 miles north of Campbell.

His Wife and mother of their nine children was Iva Jane (Seagraves) Darter.
One of Harveys sisters also came to live in Campbell all of her adult life Neoma (Darter) Whorton. 7/24/1902 - 3/1/1998.
