Duane A. Bates, 75, of 1115 Washington Ave. died Wednesday
in the Kenesaw Haven Home.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Butler-Volland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard L. Burgess officiating.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.

Mr. Bates was born Jan. 12,1910, at Davenport. He moved to Hastings from Edgar 20 years ago. He married Anna A. Deepe Sept. 11,1933, in Salina, Kan. He was retired.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Anna of Hastings; one son, Roger of Auburn; one sister, Eloise Miller of Kearney; two brothers,Robert of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Wally of
Davenport; three grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established.
