Ruth Allen, 87, of Mount Vernon, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, in Mount Vernon.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Alan Dickinson and the Rev. Dwayne Goodson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kip Narramore, Bob Narramore, Stan Narramore, Terry Narramore, Paul Boen and Reg Allen.
Mrs. Allen was born on Nov. 20, 1923, in Sparkman, Ark., the daughter of Ebbin Boen and Mahalie Seale.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Crane and Frankie Broom of Mount Vernon; her son, Phil Allen of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, Kimberly Edwards and spouse Brandon, Chance Crane, and Leslie Allen; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Pullen of Arlington; and a brother-in-law, Rex Narramore of Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Allen; and her parents.
