Marie was the youngest daughter of George and Anna Streb Herbert. She was born at 1110 E. Eager Street in the Old Town neighborhood of East Baltimore. According the the 1930 census she was living with her parents at 6501 Belair Road in Northeast Baltimore. Marie was then working as a store clerk. She lived with them until they died and then she lived with her sister Anna Button and her husband Earl. Marie Herbert died in 1970 and was buried next to her sister at Most Holy Redeember Cemetery.

HERBERT - On April 1, 1970 MARIE M., of 4110 Moravia road, beloved daughter of the late George J. and Anna Herbert; sister-in-law of Mr. C. Earl Button. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Christian Wake Services will be held at the Leonard J. Ruck Funeral Home, Inc., 5305 Harford road (at Echodale), on Sunday at 8 P.M. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. James and St. Johns Church Monday at 10 A.M. Interment in The Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday and Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M.
