Obituary for Carolyn Roberts
Blacksburg -- Carolyn Levale Sheppard Roberts, 80, of 207 Beam Road, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.



Born in Grover, Mrs. Roberts was the wife of the late Eugene Anlo Roberts and the daughter of the late John Devaney and Macie Edith Randall Sheppard. She retired as an electrical coating racker and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she served in the WMU.



Surviving Mrs. Roberts is a son, Dexter Roberts of Blacksburg; a daughter Marilyn Owen of Blacksburg; 3 grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Sheppard of Blacksburg, Donald Sheppard of Blacksburg, and Randy Sheppard of Kings Mountain; and a sister, Frances Caveney of Kings Mountain.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Edward Sheppard.



The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 until 8:30 at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 3 at Antioch Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Woods, Rev. Vernon Craig, and Rev. Josh Hardin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Michael D. Owen, Mark Sheppard, Chris Sheppard, Gilbert Dickson, David Dickson, and Keith Carroll will serve as pallbearers.
