He had been a Claremont resident most of his life. He had been employed as a foreman for Jones and Lamson Machine Co in Springfield, VT until his retirement in 1972. He was a longtime summer resident of Newbury.
He married Eunice Hatch in 1935 in Orange, MA.
Surviving are his wife of Claremont; three daughters Patricia Bemis of Cane Hill AR, Mary Jane Perrotto of Pembroke, MA, and Frances Touchette of Farmington, AR; five grandchildren; and sister Alice Newcity of Claremont.
Burial is in Union cemetery.
