Roy W. Zuendel, 70, of Starr, Forest County, died at 5:50 p.m. yesterday at Titusville Hospital.

He was born at East Hickory on Feb. 28, 1891, the son of Ernest and Anna Ledebur Zuendel. He was married to the former Mabel Thompson, who died in 1945.

Surviving are five sons, Edwin L. Zuendel of Irvine, William R. Zuendel of Erie, Donald E. Zuendel of Pittsfield, Raymond R. Zuendel of Starr; Russell D. Zuendel, serving in the U.S. Navy; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Darnofall of Melbourne, Fla., and Mrs. Dorothy Cutshaw of Corry; four brothers, Rex E. Zuendel of Wilmington, CA; Martin R. Zuendel of Wichita, Kan; Walter D. Zuendel of East Hickory; Chester L. Zuendel of Endeavor; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Hall of East Hickory and Mrs. Alva Brady of Starr; Mrs. Helen Brady of Starr.

The body is at the Rhodes Funeral Home in Tionesta. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
