Services for William Marvin Slaughter were held at First Methodist Church in Seymour officiated by Rev. Uel D. Crosby, the pastor. Mr. Slaughter had been in Seymour a week ago visiting old friends. He was still a boy when the family moved to Baylor County. He married at Vera in 1908 to Miss Lou Casselberry. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Slaughter moved to Shamrock in 1929 where he has lived ever since.

Survived by four children - Mrs. G.H. Camp, J.C. Slaughter, Miss Gladys Slaughter, Miss Marcie Slaughter; five brothers; two sisters. His parents are buried in Seymour.

Mr. Slaughter was a member of the Methodist Church and he was active in helping carry on the work of the church and participated in community activities.
