He was born May 3, 1907 in Wittenberg, the son of the late Nels and Ida (Anderson) Jacobson.
On October 7, 1944 Carl was united in marriage to Evelyn Wege in Birnamwood. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include five sons, Alan Jacobson, Elderon, James Jacobson, Birnamwood, Charles Jacobson, Elderon, John Jacobson, Stevens point and Glenn (Karen) Jacobson, Elderon; two daughters, Arla Block, Green Bay and Jean Jacobson, Rhinelander; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Orlando, Wittenberg and Ismar (Gladys), Oshkosh; four sisters, Lydia Westphal, Birnamwood, Gerda Lendved, Minocqua, Nelida Dockstader, Chicago and Joyce Selness, Golden Valley, MN.
Carl was preceded in death by one brother, Walter.
Funeral services were held October 24, 1987 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Peter Gundersen officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
