OBITUARY
23 June 1884
THE GREAT REAPER'S WORK
Died on last Monday night, at his mother's
Mrs. Frank Craddock, seven miles east of Crockett, Mr. Goodwill Craddock; aged about 19 years.
This was one of the best and most promising youths of the country. Quiet, gentle, studious and pious, he had the regard and respect of all. He was conscious of his approaching dissolution, and sent for his friends around to pay him a final visit, and conversed freely about his prospects and condition. We learn that he was studying with reference to the ministry, in connection with the Presbyterian church, of which he was a worthy and devoted member.
Family bible shows he died 23 June, 1884 at 9 o'clock p.m.
