"Insurance Veteran Dies; Rites Slated - Funeral services for Dan Murchison Craddock, 69, resident of Dallas for forty-two years and until a year ago, when he retired, the senior partner of Craddock & Smith, Insurance concern, will be held at 3:30 P.M. Saturday at Hillcrest Mausoleum. Craddock died Friday at his home, 4417 Beverly. He was born in Crockett, Houston County. He was a Mason, a member of the City Club, the Dallas Country Club, the Dallas Athletic Club and the Little Sandy Hunting and Fishing Club. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lila Tenison Craddock; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Schoellkopf Jr. and Mrs. J.T. Elliott Jr.; a son, Dan Murchison Craddock Jr., Dallas; two sisters, Miss Minnie Craddock and Mrs. J.S. Wootters, Crockett; a brother, H.Frank Craddock, Austin, and six grandchildren. Private funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. William M. Elliott, pastor of the Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the mausoleum."
