Born April 14, 1918 in Charleston, Wasatch County, Utah to William Jedidiah and Mary Alvira Murdock Casper. Married Alice Victoria Hallstrom, July 22, 1940 in Charleston, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Active member LDS Church. Loved the mountains and the desert. Lived in Snyderville, Huntsville and Oakley, Utah before moving to Salt Lake City. Served in World War II in Japan and the Phillipines. Retired from UDOT. Very proud of his grandson, David Jr. who is serving in the Italy, Rome Mission, as well as all his grandchildren.
Survived by: Wife of Salt Lake; children, Sandra Wilde, Oakley; David and Mary Jane Casper, West Jordan; Charles Casper, Salt Lake; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Dermont (Duke) Casper, Charleston; sister, Bessie Shafer, Ogden.
Funeral services, Monday, 12 noon in the Emerson Ward, 1621 So. 11th East. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary, 288 North Main, Heber City, Sunday 6-8 p.m. And Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, Oakley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the missionary fund or The American Heart Association.
