Charleston, Wasatch County--William Jeddiah Casper, 91, Charleston, long-time resident of this community, died Wednesday in a Salt Lake nursing home of a heart ailment.
He was born January 30, 1878, in Millcreek, Salt Lake County, a son of James Moroni and Sarah Jean McFarland Casper. He married Mary A. Murdock on June 25, 1902, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died January 7, 1969.
At the time of his death Mr. Casper was a member of the Charleston LDS Ward.
He had been a farmer most of his life.
Survivors include four sons and one daughter, Mrs. F. M. (Bessie) Shafer and William E. Casper, Oakley, Summit County; Dermont Casper, Heber and Franklin J. Casper, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Casper and Mrs. Noah (Nancy) Besendorfer, both of Charleston.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Charleston LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Olpin Mortuary in Heber tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday at the ward chapel one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Charleston Cemetery.
