Even though the tombstone says "Rodgers", this is John Henry Rogers (my great-great grandfather). I believe that the reason that the stone is misspelled is that it was likely provided by the US Army for his service in the Civil War. His wife, Elizabeth Reed Rogers is buried next to him. Originally she did not have a headstone, but one was purchased and installed in 2021. Their homestead was one mile east of the Thrall Cemetery and was obtained in the 1894 Land Run.
