Ivan Verne "Buck" Caldwell, age 78, died September 12, 1985 in a Murray hospital after a lingering illness.
He was born January 31, 1907 in Murray to John William and Alice Jane Osborne Caldwell. Married Eva Anderson March 16, 1932 in Salt Lake City.
He was a Kennecott Copper electrician. Member, LDS church, Murray 12th ward. Was a Murray Volunteer Fireman for 43 years. A special father and grandfather, and avid outdoors man.
Survivors; Wife, Eva, Murray, sons and daughters, Mrs. Clifford J. (Betty) Brown, Murray, Arthur B. Caldwell and wife, Ardine, Sandy; Mrs. L. Craig (Cherie Ann) Harris, Holladay; Jeffrey Verne Caldwell, and wife, Lori, Murray; brothers, Ernest E. and Arthur M., both Murray; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, 2 p.m. at the Murray 12th Ward, 363 East Vine Street. Friends may call Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins Soffe Mortuary and Monday, one hour prior to services at the church.
