Ethel was the 7th of John & Hettie (Stansell) Thurman's children.
She grew up in Cisco, remaining single & living there her entire life. She lived at 1404 Front St. & earned her living as a Bookkeeper.
Around the first part of November she contracted Bronchial Pneumonia, which led to her death two weeks later. She was in Hickmans Nursing Home when she died at 8 p.m. on Nov. 16, 1969. She was 62 years old.
Her brother, Floyd Thurman, was the informant on her death certificate. She was buried on Nov. 18.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jake Honea, F.O. Hilburn, clifford Seabourn, A.N. Stokes, Morgan Burson and Claude Spoon.
She died at 8 p.m. Sunday at Hickman Nursing Home in cisco. Born her Nov. 28, 1906, she had resided south of Cisco all her life.
Survivors include a brother, Floyd Thurman of Kaufman.
