Funeral rites for Ella E. DAVIS, 60, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 15, in the First Christian Church of Perryton.
Officiating were Rev. Johnny Rymer, Mennonite Church pastor at Meade, Kansas, and Rev. Winn Matsler, interim Christian Church minister here.
Interment was in Ochiltree Cemetery, directed by Boxwell Brothers.
Serving as pallbearers were Bill PLETCHER, Dan ARCHER, Tom SLACK, Mart WAGNER, Alfred BARBY and Roscoe NASH.
Honorary pallbearers were Don ROGERS, Gale ROGERS, Willard WITT, Howard HOLT, Quimby DIMMITT and Orvil BEARGREE.
Ella E. CROOKS was born August 12, 1909, at May, Oklahoma, the daughter of J. M. and Ida B. CROOKS.
She was married on August 22, 1927, to Delbert DAVIS, at Gage, Oklahoma, and had lived in Perryton for 30 years before moving to Meade, Kansas, about 10-1/2 years ago.
Mrs. DAVIS was a member of the First Christian Church here and also a member of Perryton chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Death came at 2:45 a.m. Saturday at Meade District Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Surviving are the husband, Delbert DAVIS of Meade; a daughter, Clara Louise DAVIS of Perryton; two sons, Kenneth DAVIS and J. B. DAVIS both of Perryton; four brothers, Harry CROOKS of Spearman, Pearl CROOKS and Cecil CROOKS, both of May, Oklahoma, and Dave CROOKS of Woodward, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Forrest (Mary) FORGEY of Guymon, Oklahoma, and five grandchildren.
