FINAL RITE THURSDAY
FOR EMMETT GRANT, 67

Emmett Olaf Grant, 67, Cumberland area farmer for many years died at his home on Route 1 on August 10.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and served on the Lakeland Town Board.

He was born in Monango, N.D., on Dec. 16, 1901, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Grant. He moved to the Silver Lake area in 1903 and resided there since. Surviving him are two brothers Carl and Morton, both of Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m., at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Max Wilhelm officiating. Interment will be in the East Cumberland Cemetery. Cotone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Arthur Dutilly, Frank and Daniel Jerry, Walter Wohler, Fred Organ and Myron Paulson.
