Memorial services for Earle James Fanning were held Wednesday at Chapel of the Vision. Rev. R. R. Sewell officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. He died on December 31, 1970 while en route to New Orleans to attend a football game. He was born on January 16, 1901 in Springer, New Mexico and was a retired signal maintainer for Southern Pacific Railroad. Survivors include his widow, Emily; his niece, Betty Fanning of Loveland; and several aunts and an uncle living in California.
