Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of the Vision for Margaret Fanning who died on November 30, 1968 at Fairplay Nursing Home at the age of 93 years, 1 month and 16 days. Rev. Loyd Barnett will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. She was born on October 14, 1875 in Pueblo to Cornelius and Nevada "Vadie" (DeGraftenreid) Daley. She married William Thomas Fanning on October 10, 1894 near Raton, New Mexico. Two sons were born to this union. They are William Charles Fanning and Earle James Fanning. Margaret and her husband, better known as Billy, came to Colorado in 1918 where they homesteaded near Hartsel until his death on March 13, 1930. Survivors include her son, Earle James Fanning of Canon City; her sisters, Mae Darnall of Yreka, California and Edith Moore of Sacramento, California; and her brother, Joe Daley of Medford, Oregon.
