Funeral services for Mr. Alfred Sweat, 59, of Macclenny, will be held Tuesday at 2 pm from the Macclenny Church of God, with Rev Lawton B. Thomas, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny.
Mr. Sweat, a native of Baker County died Saturday evening after a short illness. Before his retirement seven years ago, he was employed by Thomas Brothers Lumber Company of Folkston, Ga.
Mr. Sweat is survived by his widow, Mrs. Polly Crews Sweat, Macclenny; five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lowery, Mrs. Ruby Anderson, Miss Olla Mae Sweat, and Miss Pencie Sweat, Macclenny, Mrs. Barbara Ann Hohmann, Glen St. Mary; three sons, Robert and Henry Sweat, Macclenny, Leroy Sweat, Sanderson; stepmother, Mrs. Mettie Sweat, Macclenny; seven sisters, Mrs. Mandy Wainwright, Jacksonville, Mrs. Wilma Blackwell, Macclenny, Mrs. Roy Higginbotham, Maxville, Mrs. Alma Hopps, Mrs. Bernice Raulerson, Mrs. Shirley Rhoden and Mrs. Sally Cox, St Augustine; two brothers, Leslie Sweat, Maxville and Johnnie Sweat, Jacksonville.
