Shirley J. Rhoden, 81, passed away at the Hadlow Center on Sept. 17, 2017. Shirley was born in MacClenny, Florida to Hance and Nettie Sweat. She loved to fish, a good card game and at one time was an avid bowler. Shirley had three best friends, Mo, Francis (deceased), Reba (deceased) that were referred to as "The Golden Girls".
Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Hance and Nettie Hodges, sisters: Mandy Wainwright, Wilma Blackwell and Alma Hopps, brother, Johnny Sweat, step-son, Mark Rhoden and son-in-law, Sid.
She is survived by her daughters: Marsha Loveday and Sharon Otto Erdel (Rob); son, Gary Rhoden; sisters: Sally Cox Colee, Tory Higginbotham and Bernice Raulerson; grandchildren: Michael Rhoden and Luke Otto, great-grandchildren: Tiffany, Hunter and Livia, great-great-grandchild, Caroline.
A visitation will take place at Pentecostal Fellowship Center, 1065 Kings Estates Road, 32086, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a Funeral service beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 21. Burial will follow at Craig Memorial Park.
