MEDLEY - Lena Rose, 68, of Louisville, died Monday at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was the former Lena Rose Byrne, a native of Daviess County, Ky, a retired nurse from the old SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church. She is survived by a son, George M. Medley III; daughters, Cathy McLauchlan (Will), Theresa Rose Ulrich (Don) and Michelle Ann Nelson (Scott); sisters, Sister Mary Ignatius Byrne, Mildred Dockemeyer, Martha Pendleton, Connic McKay and Stella Kaelin; brothers, Martin and Stephen Byrne; and 15 grandchildren. Her funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at her church, 5915 Outer Loop, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Rd. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church.
