The Rev. William J. Cross, 76, a retired Free Methodist minister, died Thursday in Winchester Hospital.
Services will be at 2PM, Monday in Roosevelt Avenue Free Methodist Church, where he once was pastor. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.
The body will be in Bendle Funeral Home, Swartz Creek, until 11AM Monday.
Mr. Cross of 1410 Mintola Ave. also had been pastor of Genesee Avenue Free Methodist Church here and served churches in Harbor Beach, Maple Ridge, Alpena, Gladwin, West Branch, Port Huron, Saginaw, Owosso, Bay City and Otisville.
For 15 years he was a district superintendent, serving in five districts of the East Michigan Conference of the Free Methodist Church. He retired seven years ago.
Mr. Cross leaves his wife, Della; (4) sons, Eldon W., West Hollywood, FL, Loyal B., Toledo, OH, Warren D., Mt. Pleasant, and the Rev. Paul D., Pontiac and (4) daughters, Mrs. Austin Van Norwick, Mrs. Dixon Jackson and Mrs. Ward Sipes, all of Flint, and Mrs. Elden Fennell, Lompac, CA.
There are 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
