She was born on March 8, 1925, in Luray and was a daughter of the late John William and Lucy Blosser Knight.
Mrs. Nicholson attended the Page Valley Baptist Church.
On Dec. 17, 1961, she married Eppie Hunter Nicholson, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, James Garrett Nicholson of Luray, and Ted W. Nicholson of Shenandoah; five daughters, Patsy Williams and Faye Sue Lester, both of Luray, Anna Mae Courtney and Nancy Kay Hyre, both of Stanley, and Mary Lou Nicholson of Leesburg; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Reda Mae Foltz and Agnes Taylor; and five brothers, Robert Lee, John, Jack, James and Jacob Knight.
A funeral service was conducted on Monday, March 15, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Donald G. Mallory. Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Luray.
