He was born on Nov. 28, 1929, in Luray and was a son of the late John William and Lucy Blosser Knight.
Mr. Knight worked as a tanner at Virginia Oak Tannery.
He is survived by five sons, Robert Lee Knight Jr. and Gary Lee Knight, both of Luray, Jeffery L. Knight of Inwood, W. Va., Randall W. Knight of Charlottesville and Jayson R. Knight of New Market; a daughter, Teresa M. Knight Perill of Martinsburg, W. Va.; a sister, Louise Nicholson of Luray; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Jack, James and Jacob Knight; and three sisters, Reda Foltz, Agnes Taylor and Bertha Thomas.
