A member of a family who came here in 1890, and was prominent in the early history of Collingsworth County, Miss Nettie Alexander, died Thursday, February 28, at 9;05 p.m. in Thomas Nursing Home. Miss Alexander was 82 years of age. She was born in Weimar, Colorado County, June 18, 1880. Her parents were the late O.W. and Nannie Alexander. Miss Alexander was educated in the schools of the county and later she taught school at Wellington and in the Bean Hill community. She was a long-time member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving Miss Alexander are a brother John Alexander of Amarillo, and nine nieces and nephews.
