B.W. Cox married Maude Rudell Whiteley on 2 August 1897 at Callahan County, Texas. She preceded him in death.

B.W. Cox married Mrs. Alice McClure at Tolar in 1927.

Services were held at the Newcastle Assembly of God officiated by Rev. Jack Cleeton and assisted Rev. Carl Wright, the pastor of the Newcastle Baptist Church. He was widely known in Young County for his fine fruit farm. Mr. Cox moved to the Belknap community when it was a thriving community.

Survivors: wife; one adopted daughter - Mrs. W.P. Burch; three step-sons; one step-daughter; one step-sister; two brothers; two sisters.
