Woman Dies at Roundup.
ROUNDUP -- Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil Rathbun (Sammie Cecil Grady Cox), 70, are planned for 2 p.m. Monday in the Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Blunck of Harlowton officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
Mrs. Rathbun died Saturday morning in a Roundup nursing home where she had been a patient for several months. She had been in ill health for two years.
She was born March 14, 1889, in Texas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cox. She was married to Alfred Rathbun on Oct. 1 1917 in Sheridian Wyoming. They homesteaded near Columbus until moving to a Goulding Creek ranch in 1928. Mrs. Rathbun taught in Columbus and rural schools until her retirement in 1951. She and her husband moved to Klein in 1952 where her husband died in 1955.
She is survived by two sons, Archie Rathbun of Klein and Lowell Rathbun of Porterville, Calif.; two brothers, Bailey Cox in New Mexico and Aaron Cox in Texas, 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
