Myrtle married Robert May 30, 1907 in Bay City. They then moved to their farm in Woodland. During the 1910s Robert and Myrtle's family lived in Bay City. In 1919 they moved to Flint where he was a toolmaker in the automobile industry in the 1920s and 1930s.

Landis Myrtle Ivy Landis, 2517 Avenue A, age 61, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 1951 at the residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, Nov. 17, 1951, from the Wheeler Funeral Home, Flushing. Rev. Marshall Hoyt officiating. Committal services will be held at 2:30 P. M. from Woodland Cemetery, Woodland, Mich. Mrs. Landis is at the Wheeler Funeral Home. She was a member of the Pilgrim Chapter No. 447, OES of Flint. Surviving are 3 sons, Robert R., Graydon R., both of Flint and Harry W. of Salinas, Calif.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Bray, Mrs. Betty Martin, both of Flint and Mrs. Beulah Campbell of Long Beach, California; 2 sisters, Mrs. Anna Rummrell, Mrs. Mary Martin, both of Bay City; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; arrangements by Norman M. Rossell.
