David C. Cook, for the past 32 years a resident of Winfield and vicinity of Winfield, died at Newton memorial Hospital Monday at 5:30 p.m. after an illness of several years. He was born on March 3rd. 1880 in Holton Kansas. While his health permitted he was employed as a woodworker and an auto-body builder.
Among those who survive him are his widow, Mrs. Maude Cook, his three children, Zona, Julius, and Ed of the home, four brothers, Corbin Cook of Pittsburg, Kansas, Joe Cook of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Isreal Cook and Ben Cook of Wichita, Kansas, and two sisters. Mrs. Minnie Mattson, of Protection, Kansas, and Mrs. Amanda Buffington of Westmoreland, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the United Brethren Church. Burial will be in Highland.
