Amanda Maria Cook born 24 Sep 1860 died 25 May 1944 Westmoreland, Kansas, married 30 Jan 1877 to Aaron Chalmer Buffington. He died 17 July 1928. They had 2 daughters and 1 son. Survived by children Mrs. E. H. Brenton, Humboldt, Kansas; Mrs. E. E. Roper, Parsons, Kansas and James E. Buffington. Three grandchildren: Elvin C. Brenton of Chanute, Kansas, Kathryn Brenton, Humboldt, Kansas and Howard Roper, Parsons, Kansas. Two great grandchildren: Robert E. Brenton, Chanute, Kansas and Howard W. E. Roper II, Parsons, Kansas. She was the daughter of Edward and Mary Cook.
