Alex Holzer Dies After Illness
Alex A. Holzer, age 71, 312 Paine Street, died Monday afternoon at the Memorial hospital in Sheboygan. He had been a patient there for five weeks.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at St. Peter's United Church of Christ at two o'clock. Rev. Vernon Jaberg will officiate.
Burial will be in the Rockville Cemetery.
He was born October 18, 1890, in the Town of Eaton, son of the late Joseph and Mary Basel Holzer. He married Meta Voigt October 28, 1914, and the family resided at Kiel for a few years. He later operated cheese factories in the Kiel and Menchalville areas. The family moved back to Kiel in 1942 where he was employed by Kiel Frame Co.
He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ.
Among survivors are his wife; three brothers, Henry of Kiel, Herbert of St. Nazianz and Joseph of Random Lake; and three sisters, Mrs.Josephine Loritz and Mrs. Phillip Hartman of Manitowoc and Mrs.Edwin Schreiber of Rt. 2, Kiel. A sister preceded him in death.
