Mrs. John J. Kiefer, 85, of the Bethesda Manor Nursing Home, died there at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday. She was the former Bernadine Stallman, a native of Ferdinand, Ind. She was retired several years ago as the laundry supervisor at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Survivors include four sons, Chester Kiefer, of Irving, Tex., William G., Raymond, and Carroll Kiefer; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Beavers and Mrs. Doris Cole; 29 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. The body is at Ratterman's, 3800 Bardstown Road.
