Mr. Wade was very active. He was the leading layman of his church, the Seventh Day Adventist Church on old Jacksboro Highway. He found time to work with his son, Waymon M. Wade in the care of oil leases and other ranch duties. He was instrumental in getting his church over the top in the annual appeal for world missions.
Survived by his wife; one daughter - Mrs. A.P. Willard; one son - W.M. Wade; two sisters - Mrs. M.E. Martin and Mrs. Zora Eddleman; two brothers - A.C. Wade of Riverside, CA and Delbert Wade of Bixby, OK; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
