"Joseph H. LaPierre, Suffield, CT.-- of 1352 Mapleton Ave., retired barber in Warehouse Point, died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Ma. Born in Springfield, lived most of his life in Warehouse Point before moving to Suffield six years ago and was a member of the Springfield Guild of Craftsmen, Springfield Lodge of Elks No. 61, Knights of Columbus, Windsor Locks chapter, Suffield Grange No. 27, Suffield Association of Retired Persons and a former member of the Warehouse Point Fire Department. He leaves his wife, Sara (Greco) LaPierre; a son, Joseph H. Jr. of Windsor Locks; a stepson, Glen Gamache of Sandia Park, N. Mex.;two daughters, Jeanne Sinsigalli and Carolyn Patch, both of Enfield;
a sister, Maude Donahue; four grandchildren; and a great grandchild. The
funeral will be Friday at J.M. Bassinger Funeral Home, and in St. Philip's Church, both of Warehouse Point, with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Enfield."
