Mrs. Carrie E. Barton, 79, 636 W. Fourth St., died Saturday at the local hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bader, Rozanck, Lawson Funeral Home. He Rev. Robert G. Hutsell will officiate. Mrs. Barton was born May 9m 1894, at Sioux City, Iowa and had lived at Fremont 45 years moving here from Brewster. She was a member of Assembly of God Church. The former Carrie Murry, she married Edward J. Barton in June 1914 at Sargent. He died Feb. 19, 1928, at Brewster. Mrs. Barton retired 16 years ago from Campbell Soup Co. Survivors include daughter, Mrs. Stella Olson and sons, Ray O. and Albert J. Barton, all of Fremont; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; half-brothers Bert Fritz, Tagert, Ore.; Carl, Lincoln; Walter, Fresno, Calif.; Dick, Fremont; and James, Broken Bow; and half-sisters Mrs. Hugo (Rosie) Holmberg, Fremont; Mrs. Edward (Ethel ) Garrison, North Bend, Ore.; and Mrs. Earl (Mary) Hanna, Sterling, Colo. Pallbearers will be Heinz Boettcher, Albert Anson, David and Philip Esenmillo, Alfred Ericksen and Dan Karen. Music will be provided by Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Blake. A memorial fund has been established for Bethel Assembly of God Church. Visitation is at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ridge Cemetery.
