Notes for HARRIET (HATTIE) SPENCER:
According to her obituary that appeared in the Newton Record, June 2, 1955, she died at the home of her daughter in Noxapater, Mrs. R. P. Scarborough where she had lived for the previous six years. She was survived by three sons, H. O. Baucum of Lawrence, Mason Baucum of Chunky, and Spencer Baucum of Chunky; also by three daughters, Mrs. G. N. Staton, Union, Mrs A. E. Smith, Meridian, and Mrs. R. P. Scarborough of Noxapater; also by one sister Mrs. Susie Ferguson of Hickory and two step-sons, E. L. Baucum of Newton and Tommy Baucum of Montgomery, Alabama.
