Obituary: CAREY, LEONE, 95 Ocala - Mrs. Leone Carey, 95, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Legacy House. She was born November 24, 1910 in Moultrie, FL and moved to Ocala in 1969 from Miami. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Ocala. She is survived by her four granddaughters; fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; and sister, Lillie B. Thompson of Pembroke Pines. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Carey in 1977, son, Charles Robert (Bob) Carey in 1998 and daughter-in-law, Barbara Carey Miller in September 2006, all of Ocala. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County or the American Cancer Society. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2006 at 4 p.m. at HIERS FUNERAL HOME, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. with Dr. Edward Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Miami Memorial Cemetery. Published in the Ocala Star-Banner from 10/6/2006 - 10/7/2006.
