LEONARD A. CHRISTENSEN, 71, of Holiday died Thursday. He was born in Chicago and moved to this area six years ago from Pittsburgh. He was a retired steel mill foreman and a member of St. Vin cent de Paul Catholic Church in Holiday. He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Leonard of Cincinnati; two daughters, Marilyn Gigliotti and Carolyn Algeo both of Pittsburgh; and six grandchildren. North Funeral Home, Holiday, is in charge of arrangements.

Age 65, of Peters Township, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. Born April 30, 1948, in Sheraden, PA, she is the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Anne (Brosky) Christensen.

Beloved wife of 42 years to William Algeo of Peters Twp; cherished mother of Drew (Jacqueline) Algeo, Danielle (Chris) Cibrone and Dea (Michael) Lynch; dear grandmother of Alex, Christopher, Eva, Annalise, Nina, Kenna, Graeme; and one grandchild on the way; sister of Leonard Christensen; special Godmother to Donald Vierling; among multiple nieces and nephews, family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Darren Algeo; and sister, Marilyn Gigliotti. Carolyn loved traveling and spending time with her family.

Family and Friends are welcome on Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, March 28, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at CREMATION & FUNERAL CARE, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Burial will be held privately in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her granddaughter, Annalise, at Cure JM Foundation, 836 Lynwood Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024.
