The 1850 census shows them living in Greensboro, Henry, Indiana.
In the 1860 census they were living in Liberty township, Howard, Indiana -- most likely in or near Greentown. In this US Census the Calvin/Penninah Armfield family was living next door to William & Judith Fulwider with their daughter [Cynthia] Ellen Fulwider age 15 who later became Calvin's 2nd wife after Penninah died.
Their daughter, Mary Jane "Jennie" Armfield married Thomas Henry Price at Calvin Armfield's home on Saturday the 4th day of January, 1868. Witnesses to the wedding were James Stallings (Mary Jane's step-grandfather), Mary [Elliott Albertson] Stallings (Mary Jane's maternal grandmother), Calvin C. Armfield (father of Mary Jane) and Penninah Armfield (mother of Mary Jane). The marriage certificate was signed by William Walker, Justice of the Peace of Howard County, Indiana.
Penninah died 27 Apr 1880. Calvin then married Cynthia Ellen Fulwider. Cynthia had previously married Samuel Gibson who died 14 Apr 1880 in Greentown. Calvin and Cynthia were married 5 Aug 1880 in Greentown, Indiana. They had no children. Calvin died 29 May 1910 in Greentown and Cynthia died the next year on 3 Apr 1911.
