David was the son of
Henry G Eagerton (1830-1908) and
Mary June Taylor Eagerton (1843-1915)

Husband of Ida Jane Davis Eagerton (1881-1954) and the father of 5 children.

David was a farmer in Suttons Township, Williamsburg County, South Carolina. Moving to DeSoto County Florida in the late 1920's to become an operator of a citrus grove.

DAVID HENRY EAGERTON; THE ARCADIAN;

David Henry Eagerton, a former resident of Arcadia, died on Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Wilson, in Clearwater.

Mr. Eagerton was born July 16, 1880, in Williamsburg, South Carolina, and came here about 30 years ago from his native state. He moved to Clearwater six years ago. He was a member of the Arcadia Church of God.

He is survived by two sons, William H. Eagerton, Arcadia, and John H. Eagerton, Bradenton; three daughters, Mrs. Wilson of Clearwater, Mrs. Jack Scott of Belle Glade, and Miss Mhrier of Arcadia.

Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon from the Church of God with the Rev. Burrell Sumner and the Rev. B. E. Chesser officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were, Ed Bradley, Henry Wood, Emil Kipp, Harold Garner, Jimmy Westberry and Lovall Lanier. Honorary Pallbearers were, Walter Brewer, Dana Jones, L. R Morgan, J. A. Craft, T.M. Westberry, J. R. Proctor, and George Stonebraker.

Robarts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
