Miss Wharton and Robert W. Andrew Are Married.

Miss Helen Wharton became the bride of Robert Wyckoff Andrew on Good Friday at Buffalo Presbyterian Church where the immediate families and closest friends met for the marriage service in which Rev. A. P. Dickson, pastor, officiated at high noon.

A prelude of nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Garland Robeson, organist, John Medearis, baritone; Garland Robeson, Jr., violinist, and H. G. Waters, baritone. The selections included "Cantilene Nuptial," "I Love You Truly." "Indian Love Call." "Because," and "Liebestraum," which was played during the ceremony.

Beauty of simplicity characterized the service. Baskets of spires and white iris stood high above an improvised altar of palms, fern and Easter lilies.

Ushers were W. Preston Herndon, Jr., and Robert Wilson. The bridal couple were unattended.

The pretty young bride wore a navy blue sheer crepe daytime frock featuring low neckline, elbow-length puff sleeves and smartly flared skirt. At the shoulder she pinned a corsage of p[ink roses and valley lilies. Her baku bonnet had a miniature veil at the back and varicolored floral spray centering the front of the crown. Other accessories were navy and white. For travel she added a beige coat of basket-weave wool.

The bride, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Leroy Wharton, is a native of Guilford county. She has a lovely soprano voice and has been a member of the Buffalo choir. Since graduation from Kings' Business College she has been connected with Phipps Hardware Company.

The bridegroom, only son of Mrs. Laura Lowrance Andrew, and the Late Robert B. Andrew, of Sedalia, attended Elon college, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Beta fraternity. He is connected with the office of Phipps' also.

After 10 days they will be at home at 371 North Elm Street.

Formal announcements of the wedding read" "Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Leroy Wharton announce the marriage of their daughter, Helen, to Mr. Robert Wyckoff Andrew, April 15, 1938, Greensboro North Carolina. At home 371 North Elm street.
