Mrs. Lavinia W. Fishburne, 85, of 6100 W. Friendly Ave. died Sunday, Oct 25, 1998 at Wesley Long Hospital.
Mrs. Fishburne was a native of Guilford County, and worked with her husband, the late Edward W. Fishburne in their business, Lighting Supply Co. and served as a part-time secretary at her church. A member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church for 74 years, Mrs. Fishburne was formerly a Circle Chairman and was serving as teacher of the Ladies Bible class.
She is survived by two daughters, Magie Fishburne of Raleigh and Vinnie Gordy and her husband Mack of Greensboro; a grandson, Ted Gordy and his wife, Donna of Greensboro; and a great granddaughter; Taylor Elizabeth Gordy of Greensboro.
