A former county farmer, Marion Frank Breedlove, 71, of Silverton, died in a Plainview hospital Wednesday, August 11, following a brief illness.

Born in McMullen County January 5, 1900, Mr. Breedlove grew up in this area. He was married to Miss Annie Jane Manney on December 5, 1920, in Hollis. Their first home was at Madge, then from 1924 to 1926, they lived at Plainview. He farmed north of Hollis until 1953, when he and Mrs. Breedlove moved to the Lone Star community near Silverton.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters and five sons: Mrs. Glenn Elliott, of Hollis, Mrs. W.C. Fox of Houston, Mrs. Jinnie Smith of Andrews, Marion Breedlove, Jr., of Amarillo, Fate Breedlove of Houston, Norvell Breedlove of Tulia, Guy Breedlove of Silverton and Dan Breedlove of Lewisville.

Other survivors are four brothers and two sisters: Abe Breedlove and Jay Breedlove of Amarillo, Robert Breedlove of Memphis, Virgil Breedlove of Wellington, Mrs. Albert Atkins of Vinson and Mrs. Aubrey Rennison of Stillwater, OK. There are 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
