Clark B. Anderson, 67, retired insurance man and former Collingsworth County Tax Assessor, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in a Wichita Falls hospital. He had been ill for many months.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church in Wellington with the Rev. Frank Weir, pastor, and the Rev. J.F. Michael, pastor of the Dodson Methodist Church, officiating.
Mr. Anderson, a native of Wellington, was born December 25, 1892, and lived here all his life. He attended Wellington schools, graduating with the Wellington High School Class of 1912, and Southwestern University of Georgetown. He married the former Marjorie Wall of Wellington on July 3, 1921.
Active in civic work, Mr. Anderson was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Methodist Church, and helped organize the Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club. He was former chairman of the county Democratic committee, was active in the American Legion and was a Past Master of Wellington Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include the wife, three daughters, Mrs. Jack Kopp and Celia Ray Anderson, both of Wellington, and Louise Anderson of New York, a brother, Frank, of Wellington, and a sister, Mrs. J.R. Benson of Shamrock.
Burial will be in North Wellington Cemetery under the direction of Kelso Funeral Home.
